Enmeshed in the Landscape.

Objects collected from the Welsh landscape tell a story of human emotion, of the struggle to find a place in our time, and what it is in this moment to be human.

They act as metaphors to translate the impact of life in this digital world on the Being.

This work is a journey of place and memory, reflection and reality, of the battle to recognise who we are.

Through allowing digital technologies to inform and challenge our physical desire to create, it shapes the organic narrative, using 3d printing, laser etching, laser cutting and sublimation printing.

“Horizontality is a desire to give up, to sleep. Verticality is an attempt to escape. Hanging and floating are states of ambivalence.”

Louise Bourgeois.
